亞洲現代交響樂團

亞洲現代交響樂團於2024年成立，由藝術總監吳懷世創辦，主要由亞洲音樂家組成。樂團致力於推動亞洲作曲家的經典作品，讓世界透過交響樂認識亞洲的故事。

樂團重點演奏融合亞洲元素的現代交響樂作品，特別是中國作曲家的創作。希望透過詮釋這些作品，展示亞洲交響音樂的獨特魅力，並弘揚亞洲文化的精髓。

樂團宗旨：

促進藝術教育，推動表演藝術發展，為大眾提供欣賞音樂的機會，培養其對多元音樂藝術的全面認識，提升大眾對音樂藝術的素養。
推廣亞洲作曲家的經典作品，培育並鼓勵亞洲年輕作曲家持續創作和發展。
舉辦以亞洲現代作曲家，特別是中國作曲家的交響樂作品為主的音樂會，增強亞洲觀眾對自身文化的認同。
透過亞洲作曲家的交響作品，在音樂會中傳承亞洲傳統文化。
以交響樂形式讓世界了解現代亞洲的文化藝術發展。
以交響樂團為平台，匯聚亞洲音樂人才，打造香港成為音樂領域的中外文化藝術交流中心。

About AMSO

Asian Modern Symphony Orchestra - An Orchestra of Asian Voices

Established in 2024, the Asian Modern Symphony Orchestra is founded by Artistic Director Wilson Ng and is primarily composed of Asian musicians. The orchestra is dedicated to promoting the classic works of Asian composers allowing the world to understand Asian stories through symphonic music.

The orchestra focuses on performing symphonic works by contemporary Asian composers, particularly those from China. It aims to promote symphonic music enriched with Asian elements, showcasing the distinctive appeal of Asian symphonic music while celebrating the essence of Asian virtues.

Mission:

To promote arts education and facilitate the development of the performing arts, providing the public with opportunities to appreciate music, cultivate a comprehensive understanding of different music, and enhance music appreciation.
To champion the classic works of Asian composers while nurturing and encouraging young Asian music talents to continue their creative journeys.
To organize concerts that highlight the symphonic works of modern Asian composers, particularly those from China, thereby strengthening Asian audiences' connection to their cultural heritage.
To preserve and transmit traditional Asian culture through the symphonic compositions of Asian composers during our concerts.
To showcase the cultural and artistic advancements of modern Asia to the world through symphonic music.
To serve as a platform for uniting Asian musical talent, with the goal of establishing Hong Kong as a cultural exchange hub for music between East and West.
